Stephen Colbert's Operation: Humble Kanye proved to be a success yesterday, when for a brief time, Colbert's Christmas album was the number two album on iTunes, beating Kanye's 808's and Heartbreak at number four (Colbert and Kanye's albums have since switched positions).
Last night was gloating time for Colbert however, as he celebrated his victory by dropping some bombs on Kanye ("Why would you buy Kanye's album, you can basically get it for free. All you have to do is put a tin can to your ear and lean against a Pac Man machine"), calls him a sunglasses mannequin, shows "proof" they know each other, discusses Kanye's Twitter, and dances "unwittingly" to a Kanye song.
All of this is shaping up nicely for an inevitable showdown, and I'm guessing that'll go down sometime before Christmas. [Nahright]
