Having spent 2006 working on a side project and kickstarting a new label respectively, Sierra and Bianca Casady (a.k.a. CocoRosie) are back with a new album, The Adventures of Ghosthorse & Stillborn. The disc will see release April 10 via Touch and Go Records. For those of you curious as to what they can expect, here's an excerpt from the press release:Birthed through an intricate process of prank phone calls and clairvoyant documentation, The Adventures of Ghosthorse & Stillborn follows CocoRosie and their crew of miscreants through the Mechanical Forest of Feelings. This album is a departure from the obscured blur of stained glass rêve to a more self-exploitive memoir. Parts are dreamy and parts are savage, but, as with an opera where death represents a secret heaven, the whole record feels like a black diamond in the snow.
For those of you who might prefer a somewhat more intelligible idea as to what the album is like from someone who's heard it already, allow me to say that it's the duo's best album yet, an much more coherent than its predecessors. Here's the tracklist:
The Adventures of Ghosthorse & Stillborn:
01. Rainbowarriors
02. Promise
03. Bloody Twins
04. Japan
05. Sunshine
06. Black Poppies
07. Werewolf
08. Animals
09. Houses
10. Raphael
11. Girl and the Geese
12. Miracle

[...] Via: Brooklyn Vegan As previously reported, CocoRosie is set to release its third full-length for Touch and Go Records on April 10. The trek will see CocoRosie begin in Europe before coming back stateside for some North American dates and then heading back for a some more European action. I’m tired just looking at the itinerary. Dates are after the jump. [...]
