Coachella offers free Amtrak ride for festival goers

If you're looking for a free ride to Coachella next month, those of you in the Los Angeles area can consider hopping a rail. Event producer Goldenvoice has partnered with Amtrak to provide 500 festival campers a ride on the "Coachella Express" that leaves Union Station in Los Angeles on April 24. They'll create a temporary train platform in Indio. Shuttle buses will then take everyone to the camping check-in area at Empire Polo Field. The train heads back to L.A. on April 28. Train reservations are available here on a first-come, first-served basis. You must have a three-day camping pass. Sounds like fun, maybe like the drunken Festival Express. [Billboard
