Coachella 2009 dates moved two weeks earlier; Stagecoach fest goes back to two days

Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, that great Californian spring rock harvest, is coming a little earlier than usual in the last year of the decade. While Coachella has taken place during the last weekend of April since 2001, it’s being held on April 17-18 in 2009. It’s too early for any artists to be announced, but the booking process has begun. This will be the the 10th Coachella festival.

Additionally, it has been announced that the Stagecoach Country Music Festival will be switching back to the two-day format after a single year as a three day. Stagecoach founder Paul Tollett says that the fest never planned on expanding to a three-day fest. This year’s extra day was simply due to the fact that "The Eagles showed up," which is as good an explanation as any.
