Clue to Kalo vid: easier to watch than Lady Sov's

One of my favorite records last year came out of the Mush camp. The Clue to Kalo full-length was sneakily lo-fi, and for his second album behind the C to K alias, Australian bedroom recording engineer Mark Mitchell gathered close friends to contribute various elements for the album'''s intimate-sounding electronic and live blends. The vocal harmonies on One Way, It's Every Way are as easily digested as one of Tastykake'''s delicious Pumpkin Pies. Sadly, I haven'''t yet been able to get my hands on one of these savory seasonal treats, which I imagine will make my first embarking this year an extra-scrumptious virginal delight. Anyway, Clue to Kalo.
Mitchell just wrapped up a video shooting of '''The Just is Enough,''' a strong instance of his ability to craft memorable, singalong melodies amid lush vocal tracking. The video is the narrative type that doesn'''t end in resolution, really, but its main characteristics accent the gentle ambience of the song: grassy fields, sunny skies, and there's even someone eating a piece of fruit. If you listen close, you can pick up the breaths in between the actual chorus lines. How indie is that? Look for a forthcoming 12''" EP in November.
