Clipse working on new album, don't expect a track about VA Tech tragedy

The critically acclaimed Hell Hath No Fury has only sold 184,000 albums so far, but that's not stopping the Clipse from beginning work on a follow-up album. The duo has been quiet on the progress of the new album, but don't expect them to switch it up for the sake of album sales.
"We're just going to stay true to what it is we do."
"Everything happens for a reason," says Pusha. "There's so much disposable music right now and it is all being classified as hip-hop. This music thing is really a place where you can make your mark in history and build something epic."

In addition to a new album, the brothers are working on We Got It for Cheap Volume 3 and the debut Re-Up Gang album. Regarding the controversy over Don Imus' statements and the recent Virginia Tech tragedgy the group had this to say:
"I am floored that our leaders have let the racist comments of this white man be turned around on hip-hop," he states. "Hip-hop didn't make that man say that. I'm just appalled."

Pusha also says the Clipse will not be commenting about the Virginia Tech tragedy in song, noting, "This is bigger than a track," he says. ""It didn't even come across my mind."

what a stupid thing to ask clipse. "They're from virginia, let's ask them if they are going to make a song about it."

I agree. Not all rappers are opportunists.

i really liked pusha's response. it takes a really honorable man to say, "this tragedy is so much bigger than a fucking rap song."
