The man they call "Slowhand" has been quite busy as of late. After a whirlwind year of touring that included his infamous guitar festival, the venerable Eric Clapton -- one of the most successful musicians of the 20th (and 21st) century with more than 40 years of industry experience and 18 Grammy Awards as just two of the highlights in his impressive repertoire -- is going to be releasing both a 2-disc career-spanning album and an autobiography that is appropriately titled Clapton: The Autobiography on October 9. This compilation will be the first of its kind to truly highlight the full breadth and depth of Clapton's musical undertakings over the years, including his work with Cream and Blind Faith and will also features songs from two co-produced albums: Riding With the King, a collaboration with iconic blues man BB King, and The Road To Escondido, a partnership with long-time friend and guitar legend J.J. Cale. Be sure to save the date to get your full dose of Clapton.
