In a message posted yesterday on their website, the members of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah revealed all you wanted to know about their forthcoming release. Some Loud Thunder will be released Jaunuary 30, 2007 by the band, with UK distribution being handled by Witchita an V2. The band is offering a couple of perks though. Those who don't want to wait until January 30 can buy the mp3s beginning January 16, and then receive the physical album for free upon its release. Also, anyone buying the album directly through the band will receive an exclusive T-shirt. So what's the new album sound like? Well, you can figure that out for yourself. The band's made two tracks--"Love Song No. 7" and "Underwater (You and Me)"--available for download, while another track, "Satan Said Dance" is streaming on their MySpace page. You can find the tracklist after the jump. Love Song No. 7

They sucked at Osheaga. They ahd no business being so high up on the bill on a main stage. Thankfully Sonic Youth coming on right after them made up for it.

[...] As previously reported, today is the day that you can download your very own copy of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah’s Some Loud Thunder. By clicking here and preordering your copy of the album, you’ll have a link e-mailed to you that you can download the album from. Your physical copy of the album will be sent to you on January 30, the day of its actual release. Much like the Bloc Party post, in no way are we recommending that you buy this album. And, of course, you can sample before you buy. The entire album is streaming on the band’s MySpace page. [...]
