Clap Your Hands Say Yeah may be taking extended break

Brooklyn Vegan is reporting that Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, after a February 13 performance, will be taking an extended "break." The band has reportedly axed going back into the studio, and won't schedule any more tour dates for the forseeable future.

Whether or not this means the band is no more is debatable, but it seems like the band have been worn out by their time on the hype cycle. Two members of the band are currently in Uninhabitable Mansions, the drummer fronts a GNR cover band, and lead singer Alec Ounsworth has been spending time with his family. [Brooklyn Vegan

These guys were pioneers--they were the first real boom/bust case of internet media hype. Wait, does that mean they were pioneered?
