Chuck Norris is definitely out of the next installment of The Expendables.
Norris told Access Hollywood that while he enjoyed working on the movie and meeting Terry Crews and Jason Statham, he’s done with the franchise. “Nope. Just number two. This is it for me. Oh, yeah. This is very special,” the actor articulately explained when asked about the sequel.
The Expendables 2 opened at number one in the box office over the weekend and producer Avi Lerner has already announced that The Expendables 3 will feature Nicholas Cage.
While unconfirmed, some are assuming that Norris’s exit could be due to the producers denying his request for The Expendables 2 to be released as a PG-13 film. In January, Norris reported that he forced the producers to change the language and tone of the film and said he wouldn’t be involved if the film was R-rated.
