Chris Martin of Coldplay realizes that beauty is only skin deep

Coldplay's Chris Martin has been a vocal supporter of Barack Obama, and tends to lean towards the left side of the aisle when it comes to politics, but it appears that the crooner has a soft spot for the conservative ladies.

According to a conversation with a reporter for Britain's Sun newspaper,  Martin fancies Sarah Palin, despite disagreeing with her views. He also has a thing for British Conservative Party MP Ann Widdecombe.

He marvels, "Do I want to kiss you or run away? I haven't had that feeling since school." Funny, I would think that the sentiment would be quite common for a big-time monetarily successful rock star. Of course, perhaps a serenade of "Fix You" under Palin's window would do wonders. [Gigwise]
