YouTube has been counting its most-watched videos of 2009, and the Susan Boyle clip from Britain’s Got Talent has come out on top. Boyle’s audition for the judge’s panel on the show received around 120 million views worldwide, although the site has disabling embedding options in an attempt to rake in advertising cash, so we can only link to it on Prefix.
Boyle was far ahead of the second-placed clip, the infamous David After Dentist, but a number of other music clips made the chart. Pitbull’s “I Know You Want Me” garnered an impressive 82 million views, while Miley Cyris scored big with “The Climb” (64 million views) and “Party in the USA” (54 million views).
Another music-related success was the JK Wedding Entrance Dance clip, which featured the music of Chris Brown and somehow proved so enthralling that around 33 million people watched it. Michael Jackson also made a mark, with “Beat It” picking up around 25 million views following the singer’s death.
