Yesterday, the L.A. District Attorney's office announced that Chris Brown is charged with two felony counts related to a February 8 incident where Brown allegedly beat girlfriend Rihanna. Brown is charged with assault and making criminal threats. If convicted, he could face up to four years and eight months in prison.
Reports have been swirling that Brown and Rihanna have reconciled, but that has not been confirmed. On Wednesday, notes on the incident reportedly from the L.A.P.D. surfaced, and according to the notes, Brown punched Rihanna repeatedly and threatened to kill her. Those notes have also not been completely confirmed, but the FOX affiliate in L.A. is saying they obtained them legally from a police source.
Brown had the option of pleaing to the case yesterday, but his legal team opted to push arraignment back to April 6. At that date, Brown will be required to enter a plea. [People]
