Chris Brown almost named new album <i>Graduation</i>
Convinced that Jay-Z stole his idea to use Chris Martin as a hook girl, Kanye called him out on ''"Big Brother''": ''"I told Jay I did a song with Coldplay / next thing I know he got a song with Coldplay / back in my mind, I'm like, damn, no way / Translate español, no way Jose.''"Apparently Chris Brown wanted no part of 'Ye's bilingual hot fire '' or he'''s just a really nice guy '' because Brown has revealed that he was all set to name his new album Graduation, only to change course upon learning that West was set to do the same.
"I came up with the 'Graduation' title seven months ago," Brown said. "People were like, 'Kanye said that his album is called 'Graduation', and we can just negotiate.'
"I was like, 'Nah, you're not negotiating... I'll just let him call his album 'Graduation' and I'll just change my title. It's no big deal for me."
Brown eventually settled on Exclusive. Here'''s hoping he makes his karma back in sales.

I reported this in GIANT about a year ago. I asked Chris why he changed the name and he was like, "Because my shit's exclusive, you know. This is that exclusive shit." It really wasn't even worth coming up with a follow-up question.
