Chloë Sevigny Moving To 'Portlandia'

Chloë Sevigny has joined the cast of Portlandia. The Academy Award nominated actress will be a guest star for the upcoming third season of the popular IFC comedy show.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Sevigny will be playing the character of Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein’s new roommate, Alexandria. It hasn’t been announced whether the role will be recurring, like frequent guest star Kyle MacLauchlan’s character of the mayor of Portland.

McLauchlan is also confirmed to be returning to the series for the next season, which will premiere in Jan 2013.  Also, Sevigny will be appearing on the FX show American Horror Story: Asylum later this fall as a character interestingly named “Shelly the Nymphomaniac.”
