Via: Sound GeneratorTake this one with a grain of salt, but it's looking like Chinese Democracy might not end up being released in 2006 after all. As you might remember, Axl stated his intentions to have the album in stores before the end of the year, and many hints were dropped in press releases concerning the band's current tour that GN'R would actually follow through on that promise.
However, Universal Records has now gone on record as saying that it still hasn't received a finished product from the band, and doesn't have any firm idea as to when the album will see release. Of course, record labels never lie, so we have no reason to doubt this claim. Still, you'd think the label would shy away from a sneak-attack release strategy given all the time and money that have been put into this thing, so it's possible Universal is being honest, and this is just a case of another broken promise from Axl (shocking I know.)
So what does everyone think? Will Chinese Democracy be released in 2006? 2007? Ever?

This is about as shocking as Skilling's proclamations of innocence or Anna Nicole's desperate need for publicity
