Chess Records biopic out on December 5

Cadillac Records, the biopic that traces the history of Chess Records (home to blues and rock legends like Chuck Berry, Muddy Waters, Howling Wolf, Willie Dixon, and Little Walter) is now slated for a December 5 release. The film stars Adrien Brody as Chess Records (called Cadillac Records in the film for reasons unknown) head Leonard Chess, Beyonce Knowles as Etta James, Jeffrey Wright as Muddy Waters, Eamonn Walker as Howling Wolf, Columbus Short as Little Walter, and Mos Def as Chuck Berry.

 

The film’s soundtrack features the stars of the film doing versions of songs by the performers they are playing. It is slated for a December 2 release. Here’s a track list:
