Check Out Victor Cruz’ Weak Super Bowl XLVI Pregame Playlist

Anyone that’s played some kind of sport knows that you have to tailor a personal playlist for the pregame. If you’re a weightlifter, maybe it’s Lamb of God; swimmer, maybe Sounds & Songs of the Humpback Whale; rowing team captain, maybe Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 9” or Wagner. Whatever it is, it’s put together to give you the mental hype, so it’s interesting to check out the tracks Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz and Patriots running back Stevan Ridley fixed up for their Super Bowl XLVI pregame on Spotify.

Let’s focus on the tracks Victor Cruz, the Giants’ saving grace and 2012 breakout, put together:

    Drake – “Underground Kings”

Wale – “Ambition” F. Meek Mill and Rick Ross

Kanye West and Jay-Z – “Who Gon Stop Me”

Young Jeezy – “Ballin'” F. Lil Wayne

Not too much character in there, especially given that he’s got the entire galaxy of music at his disposal through Spotify. Maybe Victor just has to keep a basic mind, pull in those Pro Bowl catches and all without Drake stuck in his head. Who knows–we’re not shooting for a psychoanalysis. It is a weak playlist though.

    Here’s Stevan Ridley‘s. I think you’ll see the difference:

Rick Ross – “You the Boss” F. Nicki Minaj

Kanye West and Jay-Z – “N*ggas in Paris”

    Wale – “Legendary”

    Drake – “Headlines”

    Tyga – “Rack City”

Outkast – “So Fresh, So Clean”

    Big K.R.I.T. – “Country Sh*t”

Kanye West and Jay-Z – “Who Gon Stop Me”

Lil Boosie – “Wipe Me Down” F. Foxx and Webbie

Lil Wayne – “She Will F. Drake”

    Drake – “Underground Kings”

LMFAO – “Party Rock Anthem” F. Lauren Bennett and GoonRock

Drake, Jay and Kanye seem to be the favorites here. It’s obvious neither is “Gon Stop” one another since, you know, they’re both on offense. Dig on it as you will, and feel privileged. You’ve now been in the minds of NFL players.
