In the continued anthropomorphization of the Mars rover Curiosity, NASA has revealed their playlist for "waking up" the little guy every morning. On a Reddit thread designed to answer any and all questions about the rover, a commenter asked if Curiosity got the same soundtrack treatment as past rovers (to wit: 2004's Spirit got Aerosmith's "Livin' On The Edge" as it explored the edge of a Mars crater).
And NASA's Eric Blood confirmed Curiosity's curious music selection. The "wake-up calls" include old standbys "Good Morning Good Morning" by the Beatles, "Break On Through" by the Doors, "Come Fly With Me" by Frank Sinatra, and most hilarious of all, Anthrax's "Got The Time." Blood admits that Curiosity is "less cranky with a good wakeup song." Your move, WALL-E.
@britneyspears Hey Brit Brit. Mars is still looking good. Maybe someday an astronaut will bring me a gift, too. Drill bits crossed ;)— Curiosity Rover (@MarsCuriosity) August 15, 2012
