I hope when I'm approaching 80 years old, I'm still with it enough to release an album full of guest appearances from a lot of modern, hip artists and then tour in support of that album. Wouldn't bank on it, though. Doesn't heavy drinking kill brain cells? Right? I thought I read that somewhere, but I can't remember.Anyhoo, back to Charlie Louvin, the living half of influential country duo the Louvin Brothers, whose recently released self-titled album features guest spots from Jeff Tweedy, Elvis Costello, and Will Oldham, among many others. Similarly, Louvin will be joined by even more guests at some tour stops; Neko Case will appear with him in Boulder, CO, and Laura Cantrell will be with him in New York City. Louvin will swing through SXSW and Bonnaroo, which just happens to be in Louvin's hometown of Manchester, Tennessee. Full itinerary after the jump...
