Charges against Noel Gallagher's attacker upgraded

The “fan” who attacked Noel Gallagher at an Oasis concert last year is now facing stiffer charges and penalties. Charges against Daniel Sullivan, 47, have been upgraded from assault to aggravated assault. If convicted, Sullivan could serve up to 14 years – the maximum sentence – in jail.

The attack happened on September 7, 2008, at the Virgin Festival on Island Park in Toronto. Gallagher, despite being attacked midway through (What's the Story) Morning Glory, managed to finish the set. He suffered only minor rib injuries. [Angry Ape]
