More bands have spun-off from the members of At The Drive-In than quite possibly any group in the the all-ages DIY scene. The latest project comes from singer Cedric Bixler Zavala in the form of what's reported to be a solo album.
Earlier this week, the singer tweeted photos of himself in the studio with long-time collaborators Gregory Rogove, David Hidalgo, Johnny Polonski and Juan Alderete, accompanied by messages indicating that the sessions were in fact for a solo record, not a new At The Drive-In record like fans had hoped for.
If his past work in At The Drive-In and The Mars Volta are any indication as to which direction he will head in on these batch of songs, it's bound to be volatile, erratic and cross various genres in the process. [This Is Fake DIY]
