Cats And Death Dominate Screaming Females’ New Video, “It All Means Nothing”

“It All Means Nothing,” the new Screaming Females video for the lead single off Ugly–out April 3 on Don Giovanni–might be a little tough to watch for some. At first it’s just the trio performing in a back yard, but it quickly grows violent. Just before the music falls into dissonance after the second chorus, drummer Jarrett Dougherty and bassist King Mike discover frontwoman Marissa Paternoster’s stash of murdered cats (that she later eats). The other members are so disgusted that they decide to kill Paternoster by brutally chopping her into pieces, and the video appropriately concludes in the woods. Gruesome as it is, you’ve got to take it lightly–remember, it all means nothing. [Aux]
