Castanets have announced their fourth full-length, to be titled City of Refuge and released October 7th via Asthmatic Kitty. The disc consists of songs recorded by head Castanet Ray Raposa over a three week span in a motel room in Overton, Nevada. Overdubs were then provided by Jana Hunter, Sufjan Stevens, and co-producer Ero Gray. Also soon to come from the Castanets camp is Dub Refuge, a dub version of the album mixed by Ero Gray, and an as-yet-untitled album of Hank Williams covers.
