In news that should surprise almost no one, Carly Rae Jepsen admitted that she hasn’t exactly abided the lyrics that have made her song “Call Me Maybe” a cultural phenomenon.
When asked by an AP reporter if she’s ever given a guy her number, the Canadian singer responded:
"I've done brave things for love before or for the possibility of the idea of love, but I've never quite done that."
If that wasn’t enough, she continued:
“I'm pretty sure now that I never can because that would be really, really awkward."
So there you have it ladies and gents, another pop singer admitting to not following what she preaches. But hey, it made her famous and potentially a ton of money. Isn’t that what counts in the end over lyrical integrity?
