Carl Newman says the next New Pornographers record will be "fairly rock," he told Billboard, though he couldn't give any more detail than that. "I think with Challengers, we moved as far in this direction as we can go, unless we turn into M. Ward opr something." Don't expect any new N.P. material until 2009.
