Caribou wins Polaris Prize

Caribou’s excellent Andorra was awarded the Polaris Prize, being named as the best album by a Canadian band, regardless of label affiliation and sales. Granted, Sunset Rubdown’s Random Spirit Lover wasn’t nominated, so Caribou man Dan Snaith didn’t have to go toe-to-toe with one Spencer Krug (Sunset gots robbed!), but at least he can claim victory over the Axis of Evil that is Black Mountain, Holy Fuck, and the Weakerthans. Congrats on the prize Dan, make sure you get the $20,000 in Canadian dollars.
