Just when you thought Capitol couldn't milk any more money out of the Radiohead catalog after the company announced it'd be reissuing the band's singles, the label has announced plans to remaster and reissue the band's first three LPs, Pablo Honey, The Bends, and OK Computer. The albums will be available on March 24 in either two-disc sets, or two CD/one DVD sets with "rarities" and performance videos. Here's the details via Billboard:
"Pablo Honey" is expanded with the aforementioned "Drill" EP, the "Creep" single, and a four-song BBC session from June 1992, among other rarities. The DVD includes four videos, a "Top of the Pops" appearance and nine songs taped in May 1994 at London's Astoria.
"The Bends" is augmented with the classic "My Iron Lung" single, a 1994 BBC session and additional songs from the Astoria concert. "OK Computer" includes a four-song BBC session from 1997 and the singles for "Paranoid Android," "Karma Police" and "No Surprises."
So, basically, each album will come with the singles attached to it (that Capitol is also releasing on vinyl), and with some BBC sessions. Not exactly must-have stuff there. I guess we should expect remasters of the band's other Capitol releases soon as well. Capitol is still trying to pay for Coldplay. [via Stereogum]

On pitchfork I read Colin Greenwood said a while back it would be cool if they did this, so it's a bit harsh to keep the hammer down on Capitol. He mentioned how IRS did this when REM came out with Out of Time...which is about the point where Radiohead is in their career...if not earlier -and how he wished Capiltol would do something like that.
Of course when it comes to Radiohead, everyone else is to blame.
