In definitely the coolest news we’ve heard lately, a club in Toronto, Canada, is putting on a show specifically for deaf people. But wait – that’s not all, it gets even cooler (and kind of space age-y): A group called Ryerson University's Centre of Learning Technology and the Science of Music, Auditory Research and Technology Lab have created something called an Emoti-chair. The super friggin’ awesome invention contains a computer that helps the deaf literally feel music by causing the chair to move, vibrate and blast air into the face of its occupant based on the unique frequencies of different songs.
The show will take place on March 5 and, although it’s not official, we’re pretty sure it’s the first concert put on exclusively for deaf people. The lineup includes Fox Jaws, The Dufraines and Hollywood Swank. [NME]
