In its ninth year, Camp Bisco promises a summer-camp experience in which campfire sing-alongs are replaced by midnight raving and no creepy counselors confiscate your adult beverages. (But you’ll probably still need the mosquito spray.) Scheduled for July 15-17, 2010, at the Indian Lookout Country Club in Mariaville, N.Y., Camp Bisco 9 is set to feature three nights of music by its creators, the Disco Biscuits, as well as performances by LCD Soundsystem, Ween, Major Lazer, Girl Talk, Thievery Corporation, Aeroplane, Diplo, Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, and more. Early-bird presale tickets are on sale now; additional performers to be announced. For more information, visit www.campbisco.net.
consider the hippie/hipster gap bridged. i know bonaroo has been moving towards this for years, but the disco biscuits always struck me as the deep end of the middle-class white hippie pool.
The middle class white hippie pool has a deep end?
yeah, but it's pretty shallow. unlike my olympic-sized pool of bad metaphors.
I actually LOL'd at that. Nice work! This event seems bizarre, kind of a "worst of both worlds" proposition.
though i am not much of a "hippie jam band" lover, if you've ever seen a lot of these acts live (particularly lcd, aeroplane, ween, diplo, girl talk), they are pretty excellent - maybe not your thing, but far, far from "worst of both worlds" ...
