Sure, there might still be mosquitos, sunburn, thunderstorms, and the occasional surly figure of authority, but summer camp has never looked more appealing than this year’s Camp Bisco. The tenth annual music festival (to be held July 7-9 at the Indian Lookout Country Club in Mariaville, NY) has just announced line-up additions including Ratatat, Special Disco Version (LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy and Pat Mahoney), Four Tet, The New Deal, The Japanese Popstars, and NYC’s favorite electronic party starters Alex English (GBH/Girls & Boys) and JDH & Dave P (Fixed).
Previously announced heavy-hitting performers for this year’s Bisco include The Disco Biscuits (natch), Cut Copy, Rusko, Yeasayer, Pretty Lights, Holy Ghost!, MSTRKRFT, Death From Above 1979, Bassnectar, Neon Indian, Skrillex, Mr. Lif, Das Racist, Wolfgang Gartner, The Magician, and more. New to this year’s Bisco will be three label-curated tents from DFA Records, Mad Decent, and Damon Dash that will showcase their respective new talent discoveries, as well as a total of five performance stages, a larger-capacity late-night dance tent, music seminars/workshops, a second entrance gate for speedier access, and a larger silent disco. Archery, crafts, and campfire sing-a-longs are not guaranteed, though you never know what you’ll find at Bisco.
