Calvin Johnson and Julie Doiron tour together

Two singer-songwriters are always better than one, right? Especially when one is male and the other female. That way you get the whole human package.
So it’s nice to see Calvin Johnson and Julie Doiron planning a long touring trek together. Johnson is of course the founder of K Records and member of Beat Happening and plenty of other bands down through the years (not the star Georgia Tech wide receiver who just got drafted by the Lions). Doiron is no slouch either. She was in Eric’s Trip and has gone on to release a number of lovely solo albums, including Woke Myself Up from earlier this year.
