Cake Top Billboard In Worst Sales Week Ever (Since 1991)

Another new week, another new lowest selling number one album in Soundscan history: Cake's Showroom of Compassion takes number one this week with a paltry 44,000 copies sold, 8,000 fewer records than Taylor Swift's lowest selling album from last week. Like my colleague Craig Jenkins just said on Twitter:

"Y'all motherfuckers let Cake have the number one album in America? This is what happens when you don't buy music."

In other chart news, Cage the Elephant took number two, moving 39,000 copies of their sophomore album, Thank You Happy Birthday. T. Swift held in strong at number three, with 35,000 sold.
