So you know that (ridiculously awful) Burger King commercial starring Mary J. Blige? Well, I hope you got a chance to see it already because the fast food chain has already pulled it. But here's the thing: BK claims that it has nothing to do with the backlash over the ad, which ranged from racial issues to people just thinking it was done in poor taste.
I mean, of course, they're saying that it was over some licensing issues, because why would they be honest about this? They have to focus on their other problems, like making sure people don't hate the upcoming ads with Salma Hayek and David Beckham as much as Mary's. [Complex/Billboard]
