Bun B, Talib Kweli, Freddie Gibbs, Brother Ali Featured On New Statik Selektah LP

Whether he’s producing or DJing, Statik Selektah is a busy dude. We watched him record EPs with Freeway and Freddie Gibbs, heard his EP and LP with Termanology, and peeped his ’80s- and ’90s-themed mixtapes. And that was just in the past year. Statik also has three full-length albums under his belt. That amount will soon expand to four as he’s prepping a new record, Population Control, for an October release.

And in case you were wondering exactly who he got on the 18-track album, here’s a complete run down: Mac Miller, Talib Kweli, Bun B, Chris Webby, Pill, Dom Kennedy, LeCrae, Joell Ortiz, Freddie Gibbs, Brother Ali, Colin Munroe, Sean Price, Styles P, Lil Fame of M.O.P., Reks, Action Bronson, Chace Infinite, Slaine, JFK, Strong Arm Steady, Jon Connor, XV, The Kid Daytona, Termanology, Josh Xantus, Saigon, Jared Evan, Kali, Gameboi, Skyzoo, Chuuwee, Tayyib Ali, Push! Montana, LEP Bogus Boys, Ea$y Money, Nitty Scott MC, Rapsody, Smoke DZA, STS, Dosage, Scram Jones, and DJ Babu.

Impressive. Population Control drops Oct. 25 on Showoff/ Duck Down Music.
