Buffet fails to make list of top food songs, heads to Margaritaville

As we in the United States prepare for our annual Thanksgiving celebration, a list of songs having to do with food might be a good idea. A lot of people spend the early part of this week buying, preparing, and thinking about food; it would seem beneficial should their music be able to match the focus of the rest of the week. The list of the top ten food songs as prepared by Spike.com, however, is a pretty sparse menu. From a gustatory standpoint, the biggest omission is Jimmy Buffet's "Cheeseburger in Paradise," which regardless of musical tastes makes a pretty good case for burgers. The list also omits Golden Smog's "Pecan Pie" in favor of Warrant's  "Cherry Pie," which is clearly just about sex, instead of sensitive longing and pastry. Also missing is Weezer's "Pork and Beans," which sounds better (at least from a food standpoint) than "Mother Popcorn" or noshing a bunch of "Juicy Fruit." [Spike]

i hate"Cheeseburger in Paradise," but if you were to ask me to name a food-related song, it's the first that would come to mind.
