There have been constant reminders that Sesame Street celebrated its 40th anniversary this week, from retrospectives to Fox News diatribes, but here is one that should brighten your day. World-class drummer and bandleader Buddy Rich showed up on a 1978 episode and proceeded to battle Animal on the skins. About two thirds of the way through, Animal understandably just stops and stares. Rich was 61 years old at the time of this clip. [YANP]
