Twenty-six year old Bruno Mars was arrested in September 2010 on drug charges. He apparently had 2.6 grams of cocaine on him when he was discovered by Las Vegas police in a bathroom at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, where he had performed earlier. Five months later, on Feb. 16, 2011, Mars pleaded guilty to cocaine possession. He paid a $2,000 fine, worked 200 hours of community service and was ordered to undergo substance abuse counseling. I guess the court was pleased with Mars, as the singer was cleared of felony cocaine possession yesterday. The Grammy winner's lawyer said, "Bruno earned the dismissal." I, for one, am happy to get some closure on this. [RS]
