It looks like 2012 is going to be a busy ear for Bruce Sprinsteen and his E Street Band. The group is undoubtedly still mourning the loss of iconic sax player Clarence Clemons, but the show must go on, and a set of U.K. dates has just been announced along with the promise of a new album and some U.S. shows in the not-too distant future.
There aren’t any details on that new record yet—no sign of a title, release date, or any song titles—but a note on the official Springsteen website says: “we want you to know that the music is almost done (but still untitled), we have almost settled on the release date (but not quite yet), and that we are all incredibly excited about everything that we’re planning for 2012.”
The four Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band dates announced so far are as follows:
- 06.21 Sunderland, UK: Stadium of Light
- 06.22 Manchester, UK: Eithad Stadium
- 06.24 Isle of Wight, UK: Isle of Wight Festival
- 07.14 London, UK: Hard Rock Calling
