Brooklyn Band Quilty's Gear Stolen

Times are desperate, folks. Jobs are down and crime is way, way up. Brooklyn-based rock band Quilty (which features Prefix writer Sarah Dupuis on guitar) just experienced firsthand how desperate things have gotten in the form of a car break-in and gear theft. The casualties include a 1993 Fender Jazzmaster in sunburst, a Fender Stratocaster ’62 American Vintage reissue in ice blue, a trombone, and drums.

More info about the loss, including a complete list of stolen items and photos, is posted on Quilty’s website, and the band’s label, Cooling Pie Records, has set up a Paypal account for donations to help pay for replacement gear. The thief already tried to unload some of the gear at Williamsburg's Main Drag Music to no avail, so if you or anyone you know encounters a too-good-to-be-true deal on a Fender axe, get in touch with Quilty!

Any information about the whereabouts of these items should be sent to quiltyband@gmail.com. The band is also offering a reward, no questions asked.
