What better way to commemorate the great times you've had with your friends this year than to release a split record with them? That's exactly what Broken Social Scene are doing with their 2010 tourmates/chums the Sea and Cake. Each band is contributing one new song to the release. BSS brings "Curse Your Fail" to the table, which comes from the same sessions that produced this year's comeback album Forgiveness Rock Record, which was produced by the Sea and Cake's John McEntire. Meanwhile, The Sea and Cake contribute a track called "Skies." Check out the cover art, while you're at it.
The Broken Social Scene/Sea and Cake split 7" is due out Oct. 26 via Arts & Crafts.
Exciting news. Awful album art though.
Love it! I have been a fan of Sea and Cake for many years. One of the most underrated bands out there.
