If you’ve been to see Britney Spears’ Circus tour this year—and, let’s face it, are there any Prefix readers out there that haven’t?—you will have been subjected to an odd middle section to the show that is based around Marilyn Manson’s version of Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This).” According to Gigwise, fans of Spears have been clamoring for the release of the video, which has now surfaced online in full and features the singer cavorting while Eyes Wide Shut-style masked figures writhe around her.

It’s not clear why Manson’s song was chosen as a wake-up call to Spears’ pre-pubescent audience, but it works pretty well here, and the goth overlord is likely to be making a pretty penny from the nightly plays of his track (albeit with a cut going to Eurythmics). This was probably conceived so costume changes could take place in Spears’ show, but it’s still an odd moment in her history. There’s even a scene where she plays a thief running through North London with boyfriend Jason Trawick. Check it out below.
