Leave it to British Sea Power, one of the more eccentric and well-read indie rock bands of the past decade, to create a rock festival on their own terms in a pub. Brighton's finest will be starting the Sing Ye From The Hillside! Festival at the Tan Inn Pub at Yorkshire Dalles from August 29-31. The fest takes it name from Tan Inn's status as the highest pub (in altitude) in the U.K.
If that's not enough, you'll be able to drink British Sea Power too. You can drink them up! The band is teaming with the nearby Dent Brewery to release a BSP beer, which is not as surprising as it sounds, considering how much the band's British popularity trumps their American follow. Husky racing and duck herding will also be there, making this possible the most British of the British music fests on all of the Isles.
Can we just go ahead and call this awesome?

I bet I like BSP beer over Speckled Hen.
