British PM David Cameron Discussed The Smiths In Parliament (Video)

The standoff between Johnny Marr, his former partner in the Smiths, and British Prime Minister David Cameron reached a natural conclusion yesterday (Dec. 8). Yes, it appears British politicians have nothing better to do than make barbed comments about the Smiths in parliament, with Labour MP Kerry McCarthy deciding to use the Prime Minister’s Questions session to frame a question about proposed student fee raises with titles of the band’s songs. “If he wins tomorrow night’s vote, what songs does he think students will be listening to? ‘Miserable Lie’, ‘I Don’t Owe You Anything’ or ‘Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now’?” she asked. Check out Cameron’s response in the clip above.
