When Digital Domain Media Group, the company behind this year's Tupac hologram, went under last month, many speculated that that was the last we'd see of holograms for a while, considering how expensive and unwieldy they can be.
Not so fast: according to NME, a "British music legend" will be unveiled in hologram form this weekend after Digital Domain Media Group itself was raised from the dead. A British firm called Musion--which co-created the "Holpac"--will debut its creation at the Best of Britannia festival, which "celebrates the UK's achievements across music, arts, culture, design, technology and manufacturing" in London October 5-7. Musion and the festival are noticeably mum on who the hologram might depict, but my money says its John Lennon.
