Our little Conor is all grown up *sniff*. Seriously, while I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning showed signs of budding artistic maturity, Cassadaga might end up being the album where Oberst finally cashes in the "potential" he's been harboring for years. The second track to be released from the album, "No One Would Riot For Less," is pretty damn impressive, leaving Oberst batting 1.000 so far. Yes, the lyrics smack a little strongly of Neil Young idolatry, but with those soaring strings, the instrumentation is head and shoulders above anything Oberst has released to date.download
