Here's something for Beach Boys fans to look forward to in 2009: Capitol/EMI will release Brian Wilson's Lucky Old Sun DVD on January 27th.  The DVD features over two hours of content, including a full live performance, commentary by Brian Wilson and songwriting partner Scott Bennett, and a feature-length documenatary called Going Home. The Lucky Old Sun DVD is to accompany the album of the same name, which was released on September 2 with generally positive reviews. As for the album, the California-themed sound is a departure from the symphonic layering of SMiLE, which partially explains why it didn't take nearly four decades to finish.
