The news that Brian Wilson is releasing a new album called In the Key of Disney, which finds him covering a bunch of Disney songs, is pretty icky at first blush. I mean, dude made Pet Sounds, and now his highest paying work is covering shit like "Whistle While You Work." But then, it sort of makes sense: Both Wilson and Disney are old-ass institutions that are living off past success and shoutouts from young people (Pixar in Disney's case) and both of them are essentially nostalgia factories now anyway. So fire away, Brian Wilson. In the Key of Disney is due out on Oct. 25, and you can hear one song at Facebook.
