Anton Newcombe and his Brian Jonestown Massacre operate on the guiding principle "keep music evil." The band will aim to do just that with its new album My Bloody Underground (heavy on the My Bloody Valentine/Velvet Underground associations, no?), slated for an April 15 release on Newcombe's own a recordings. The album title isn't anything objectionable, but wait until you get a load of some song names. Take album-opener "Bring Me the Head of Paul McCartney on Heather Mill's Wooden Peg (Dropping Bombs on the White House)." Or "Automatic Faggot for the People." Other tune titles drop the "n" word and threaten physical harm on Jesus. My Bloody Underground can be sampled at the band's website.
