Brian Eno has reportedly signed on to do the score for the new Peter Jackson film, an adaptation of the poular novel Lovely Bones starring Mark Wahlberg, Rachel Weisz, Susan Sarandon, Stanley Tucci, Michael Imperioli, and Saoirse Ronan. The film tells the story of a woman is brutally raped and murdered, and then who watches the effect of her murder on her family. The film is mostly set in heaven, so you have to imagine that Eno was brought on for those scenes specifically. 

Lovely Bones is slated for a December 11, 2009 release. [The Playlist]
